What We Do

Just like a car, or any other mechanical system, regular maintenance helps your unit run more efficiently. This cuts usage costs and helps prevent failure during peak periods. The regular attention also allows for small problems to be addressed before they threaten the whole system. ​

Our contract customers receive priority service any time of the year and receive special discounts. Being a contract client increases the reliability of your system, but should you need emergency service, you are entitled to preferential treatment. Contract clients receive 10% off any parts that are ordered which includes refrigerant. Hancock A/C & Heating office staff reminds you when it's time to service your unit, so you don't have to worry about being prepared for the next season. ​Consistent to the equipment owned by the contract client, and the time of year in which the equipment is being checked, the following services shall be provided:

GAS FURNACE
Gas Furnace
  • Clean & adjust automatic controls
  • Clean burners
  • Adjust combustion for optimum fuel efficiency
  • Lubricate as needed
  • Test for combustion leaks
  • Test safety shutoff response
  • Check blower belt wear, tension, and alignment
  • Replace disposable air filter(s)
  • Check flue for satisfactory operation
AIR CONDITIONER
Air Conditioner
  • Check condensing (outdoor) coil and clean, if needed
  • Check electrical connections for tightness
  • Adjust system for optimum cooling
  • Check for oil and refrigerant leaks
  • Check safety devices
  • Check blower belt wear, tension and alignment
  • Check expansion valve and coil temperatures
  • Replace disposable air filter(s)
  • Check refrigerant level
  • Lubricate as needed
  • Check condensate drain
VRF/MINI SPLIT INVERTER TECHNOLOGY
Heat Pump
  • Lubricate as needed
  • Check defrost cycle and reversing valve operation
  • Adjust air volume for maximum efficiency
  • Check safety devices and electrical connections for tightness
  • Check blower belt, wear, tension, and alignment
  • Check for oil and refrigerant leaks
  • Test electrical controls for proper operation
  • Check refrigerant level
  • Check refrigerant controls and coil temperature for maximum efficiency
  • Replace disposable air filter(s)
  • Check condensate drain
